ok thank goodness this was not a paying client. Equipment didn't wanna cooperate and my wife / assistant couldn't make the shoot...which means my vagabond power supply was with her in her car and not with me.

So I tried lighting this young lady with a 550 ex and a 420ex shoe mount flashes...not enough power.

So had to kinda tinker with the exposures alot more than I wanted to. And realized how valuable an assistant was and that I needed my portable power and my Alien bees in the field for this one.

anyway it is late and I am rambling. As usuall tear it up. I shot 180 images on this shoot and this is the only one I kinda like.... so tell me what you like and don't like about this one...

The shadow across her right arm is the only thing that bothers me... good photo.

I don't like her looking out of the frame...would have preferred her gaze more to the camera left.

Clint you suck.. come back to shoot football with me.. lol j/k ...it is good pic, agree that shadow is too harsh and it ok that she look outside of the frame but would be nicer if she look a little bit inside of frame

Clint, I think it's a pretty decent shot. It would have been nice if you had a little more light on the veil, it looks a little drab. Maybe try dodging a bit to lighten it up.

I think you'll be OK, they have a thin candy shell. I'm surprised you didn't know that.

I think it's a great photo, yeah it has a small shadow, a blown highlight, but it's just minor stuff. I bet the bride will love it!

luckily, she ain't a bride yet. just a model for an ad. I have bought some advertising in a local magazine, and I am trying to make sure I have enough bridals to get me thru the summer advertising.

But I am not totally sure I will use this one. I didn't bring my A game that day
