The one on the stairs is great and as cheesy as it sounds I kind of like the colored flower one.
But the first one as good as is. | | | | | Sponsored Links | Premium Members do not see Google advertisements. SIGN UP today and help support our community.

I don't like #5 just because I don't like that emotion. She should be happy but looks to me on that photo she is sad.

Ok Erin, this is my honest to God critique.............love ya girl
1. Crop.........Tight crip just at the bottom of the flower and make a nice 8x10 from there. I love the back ground.
#2 I love just the way it is.
#3. I don't like this one at all. Sorry. The image is soft on the bride, she has a double chin due to angle...just not what I know you are capable of.
#4. Stunning. Something you should add to your website immediately. The best work you have shown to date.
#5. I like the moment in repose very much, but I'd like to see you crop a bit tighter. It's pretty as at is, but I think it will really stand out with a good nice crop.
I'm not crazy about the last two, but I think they have definate candid merit.
Overall, I love the series. You did a great job.

Thanks, Cindy. That was EXACTLY what I was looking for.
#3 is too soft b/c of the Noise Ninja, but I didn't notice the double chin. Do you think I could PS it out, or is it just not worth it?
I think #1 wants to be an 8X10. I also have this vertical, but I think I like the horizontal better...but maybe that's just b/c I want to shoot more horizontal b/c I know I shoot too much vertically. I might have been pushing it too much here.
I'm debating which of the #4 I should add to the website - with the roses in color or all sepia. Would you add it now or after her wedding? I just would hate for her fiance to see it before the wedding, you know? It will definitely be added soon.
#5 is actually a candid - she was getting tired and rested for a second. I did crop it. How much more would you crop it in?? Can you show me??
The last two are more ones I think she'll like - more of her "natural" expressions. She isn't smiling in the first five much if at all, but I love them.

Thanks, sbp. She was exhausted, I think, not sad, but I was worried about that. As I said to Cindy, it was more of a candid type one not as posed, but what would you have done differently? The same "pose" but with a little half smile kinda like she has in #1 & 2? She is kinda smiling, but maybe with her head tilted down it's harder to see.

I love #4, as most here agreed. But I'd clone out the light switch on the wall.

All sepia on the stairs. I like hand processing too, but it's thought of as cheesy.
It's gorgeous as it is. Don't meddle.

Hi, I'm new to the forums so I hope you dont mind to much me throwing out my opinion. Not that you need anymore, because you've done such a great job and gotten a lot of great feedback.
#1 - like everyone said the bush is distracting
#2 - this is actually one of my favorites, I really like the angle of the whole image
#3 - I actually like the softness of it (if you do any album work it would make for a great background image in a layout
#4 - I really like it with the selective color of the roses. I am a big fan of selective coloring, not so much with sepia. I think this is the first time I've seen a sepia bridal that I really really like and thought now that works.
#5 - Not going to comment on since you said it was a candid and she was tired
#6 & #7 - I really like both of these, they're sincere and open and she's beautiful when she laughs
All in all I think they're all wonderful images and your bride will be very pleased with the results.

Great to see you posting again! Congrats again on the upcoming addition to the family!
Comments:
#1 good expression but I'd crop it vertical and soften the image a bit. needs more contrast also.
#2 Great shot, enuf said
#3 too soft and just not a striking picture. Perhaps position of boquet?
#4 Portfolio level shot!

Lots already said, I will just say your work has excelled 100 fold over the last year, very nice classy images with a slight artistic outside the box flair. Nice mixture - Nice Images. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
