So I know it's been ages since I've posted anything. I've been swamped with photography and a baby on the way, but this is the best way for me to learn so I'm going to try to get back in the habbit of posting. Please give me your honest feedback. That's the only way I can get better. Thanks!!! | | | | | Sponsored Links | Premium Members do not see Google advertisements. SIGN UP today and help support our community.

Very nice Erin. The last two of the first group are my favorites. Dont care about the flower bush in the first picture. Like the bricks in the location, but the bush is not attractive. | | | |

The first one looks like she's trying to hide.. love the stairs.

Hi Erin! I love #1 contrary to other's beliefs--i would just crop it more (portrait orientation maybe?) to the right to focus on her, while leaving the bush and parts of the wall in, because i love her coloring in this shot--very pretty and nice expression!
i love everything, so much! #3 i feel is too soft, and should have been focused more on her face, or if it's going for a "details" look, then I would artificially blur her face a little more--my eyes just don't know where to land! and #5....well, let's just say that while she may be trying to look ponderous (is that a word?), she ends up looking more like a bride left at the altar... :) we don't want that!! fine art-wise, i think it's moving because of her body language, but for a wedding portrait i'm not sure it conveys quite the right sentiment.
i'm in LOVE with #4, #2, and #7!! especially #4, that contrast is GREAT, so many tones and things to look at, love it. love it.
hope this helps, just my $.02 ;)

Some nice shots here. From the first set I like #'s 2 and 5 the best. Shot 4 has a little too much tilt for my taste but is a nice shot. #3 I think her nose is buried a little too deep in boquet. I really like both shots from the second set, the first one being my favorite.

I am thankfull for your sharing of the tallent you have. Please do keep it coming. Your images allow the beauty of simplisity to capture ones total attention to depth and peace of mind while thoughts of childhood memories or high point of lifes vacationing moments take them away from every day life.
Very nice work!
Take care,

Thanks for the compliments, everyone.
I do think that #3 is a bit soft. I Noise Ninja-ed it and I think I went a bit overboard on it.
As to the stairs one, the lighting is just a EX 480 flash bounced a little bit and ambient light. That house was AMAZING. I should have shot more in there. That said, do you like the first one I posted or this one better? (I colored the flowers in this one, but they should be the same otherwise.)
What else do you think I could have done better for this shoot? | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
