Thanks so much for all your input. Elsaspet, I've always admired your work and appreciate your insight.
One shot gave me FITS- the ring shot. Liz wanted something nice, and I must have tried 20 different angles before I settled on this one. I'm not thrilled about it, but it was the best I could do.

They ask me when looking at old posed photos, "Mom, why do you look so weird???" Well, maybe because I am kinda weird, but made even moreso from all this posy, posy stuff.

That made me laugh, thanks, reminded me of my high school picture session. *tilt* *tilt*

Daniel, my friend isn't very fond of what she calls her "man hands" :) I had to use the healing tool extensively on her very prominent veins, then made a new layer, applied a gaussian blur,and erased the layer on top of the ring. I can see how much sharper the ring is in your edit, though, so I'm going to give it another go.
