Good question, is it common to go to a potential client's house or have them come to you? Next week I am meeting one at their house and one at Starbucks.

If you do not have a studio try and meet them in a "even ground" location such as a Starbucks, I found over the years of doing this that clients tend to be more themselfs when outside the bounds of their residence, with the said I have done both but not in a LONG time on the residence thing.

Ok, here's an update, I met with both brides. Neither booked on the spot, but I have a feeling both of them will. Maybe I should have pushed harder for them to book right there? I do require 1/2 at the signing of the contract, so I really don't blame them for wanting to think about it.

i actually don't try and close the deal right then and there. i close most meetings by letting them know that the deposit is required to secure the date, and to let me know if they have any questions at all.
