Wedding book question - 01-02-2007, 11:20 AM

Ok, i've done my searching on the forum and haven't found exactly what i need so i'll just come out and ask the professionals here.

A guy i work for occasionally wants to have a coffee table book to show brides at an upcoming bridal show, but he dragged his feet too long and can't get one made of his work.

So here is my question, do any of you know of a company that would have ready-made book samples that he could buy and have shipped to him fast. He just wants a descent quality book, but more importantly, some quality pictures in it. He isn't trying to pass it off as his or anything, but the only ones we've been able to find that work this way have had really bad photography.

THanks,
Don

Don, I don't know when the upcoming bridal show is, but I have ability to do a rush order and can have the album fully designed, printed and bound with his images in 10 days. Have him email me cristy at storybookdesigns dot net for more information.

Don,
Renaissance, Forbeyon, GraphiStudio, Art Leather all make ready made sample books ready to ship (with other's photos). Hope that helps.

Out of curiosity, which bridal show are you guys going to be in?...the Tuxedo Junction show or Diana's Show?

The Tuxedo Junction Show is at the Civic Center this month.
Diana's Show is late Jan. or mid Feb. at the Holiday Inn downtown.

Mark,
Thanks for the information. We actually aren't based in Lubbock. The show is this weekend in Tulsa, Okla. I just moved to Lubbock several months ago to get married and recently had back surgery, so i haven't worked in the Hub City, yet. I just came back to tulsa for the holiday and to help with the show.

I really appreciate all the advice, though. I might just have to check out those shows to meet some local talent. Either of the shows good?

Don

There's actually 4 shows a year.
2 are put on by Diana's boutique. Their clientele is defintely blue collar, if you know what I mean.

The other 2 shows are put on by Tuxedo Juntion and Bridal Service Assoc. respectively.
This is where the money's at.
Unfortunately with all the new photographers coming into the market, the BSA has closed their show to a limit of 5 photographers.
Tuxedo Juntion closes theirs after 7 photographers, but they take the first 7.

As luck would have it, the same guy that owns Tuxedo Juntion in Lubbock also owns the one in Tulsa. He puts on that show too.
