WPPI Award Book

Does anyone here get the WPPI photo books for all the award winners? They are normally quite expensive (I think $119 or $79 can't remember lol)...Anyway, I got in on a great deal out of Rangefinder mag (WPPI mag) at the end of the year. They were offering a back issue bundle for $69... Included books from 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2003. You could then add an additional book for $19.95. I went ahead and ordered the 2005 book as well. So for about $85 I received 5 years worth of very nice books with TONS AND TONS of great wedding images. The 2005 book is well over 400 pages.

Anyway, just thought I'd throw it out there... The 2006 book is about to be produced..

They are quite a source for inspiration and to see some excellent portrait and wedding photography from around the world.

I usually visit websites of many of the photographers that I admire...But there is nothing like having them all together and in PRINT.

Do you think its still possible to get in on that deal?

No. The deal was available thru 12/31. I saw it in the mag and made a mental note to get in on it. Then I forgot about it until Andrew's post (kicking myself profusely!) I checked again today and it is no longer available.

HOWEVER, I ordered on 1/2 and received the books a couple of days ago..

It is not available via their site now though like mentioned. I think I just lucked out.. Funny story actually...I was in the hospital with wife in labor...while waiting, I decided to thumb through Rangefinder mag...when I saw the deal I used my Blackberry to place the order. Times sure have changed since my first child. LOL

I wish I could be that lucky. I looked on their website and the books are now higher than I can justify for a field I am not even in. Would have loved to have gotten in on the deal, though. I'm guessing it was still showing on their website when you ordered?

Congrats on the baby - and yes - things have defintely changed over the years!
