I have been trying for years to get that black line around a model/subject for years. I can do it sometimes but not always. does anyone know how to do that all the time. you have it done twice.

14th image down you have a black out line of the arm. Yes i know it's a shadow of the arm and all that. but I have seen photographer get that line very thin and all the way around a subject. the inside is still sharp and it was done before computers. I have been trying to get this to work all the time but with no luck.

Oh, I get that a lot by using a slower shutter speed (dragging the shutter) and moving my camera while they are moving. It depends on how light it is in the room as to what the shot will look like.

moving the camera. that's probably what does it. Hmmm I always thought it was related to just subject movement but it's both.

are you using 2nd curtain sync with that.

No, I'm not. Typically, just a somewhat slower shutter speed. A lot of time, for this stuff, I will shoot shutter priority and shoot anywhere from 1/40, 1/50 or 1/60th of a second.
