Bridal at the Gaylord (more added) - 11-28-2007, 06:09 PM

Just did a bridal today at the Gaylord. Unfortunately, there were quite a few Xmas decorations around (kids style ones) which the bride did not want in the pics (obviously). Also, it was really crowded with Cowboys/Packers fans, so we weren't able to do a lot of shots in the main atrium area.

Gaylord...this the infamous "Gaylord Texan" that I've heard so much about?

Lots of variety here. My faves are 4 & 8

Yep, that would be it. Not worth the money, IMO, but a nice place. Luckily, we didn't have to pay. Thanks!

These look pretty good. To bad about the Christmas decorations though.

We shot a wedding there last month before all the decorations went up. It was quite nice!

That would be cool to do a wedding there. I had to really do a lot of closeups while I was there, which was ashame. One spot she was hoping to shoot at had an electric train and other decorations.

That could have been interesting.

Very nice images. I have such a long way to go before attempting anything like a bridal.

Leslie, you did very good in spite of the limitations. A good inspiration for the rest of us, look around and make use of what you are given to work with when the original plans fall through. I like the giggle in the third shot, even with the hair under the nose. I think it is great when you can make the bride laugh.

Hahaha, isn't it though, Marco? It was funny, people kept stopping wanting to take pics of her or with her. She looked like a princess. One couple thought she must be Tony Romo's sweetheart.

Thanks, so much, Laurie! I caught that while she was walking up the stairs to another spot. Luckily, it came out ok.

Thanks, Steve! That laugh was not something I was expecting, but I grabbed a quick shot when I saw it.

I know they have many trains all over the place out there this time of year. It looks like you could of gotten at least part of one in a photo.

Surprised to hear about the no cost but that's what happens when you have connections......I guess.

I think it's a pretty cool place to shoot a bridal myself. You did a great job on these as always!
