I have never worked with such a laid back couple before. Also, we had a permit to shoot there and nobody asked for it, boo hoo,lol.. Well C&C always welcome.

Chris, these are wonderful! Love the low angle shot of their faces with the atirium star over their heads. Did you use a gold reflector for fill?

Captain Tom, I am not quite sure to be honest! I am doing their wedding there in May so they got permission to do the engagement yesterday. I went there last Sunday to scope it out and had two cameras with me but no lighting and someone stopped us to see what we were up to. But yesterday we met with a wedding planner there in the begining and they gave us a permit to carry, but nobody stopped us later that day. I have read that it could be as high as 5K.... I would never pay that, the place is nice but you really have to work hard with all the distacting backgrounds and people.

Very nice job, Chris!!!

Several really nice shots there!!

My only comment is that the skintones look really red-orange in a few of the shots...probably because you upped the saturation a bit in PP...but overall, really nice!!

Thanks so much Annette! Yes, we do a lot of layer mask with saturation boost (Tri-Coast workshop), plus on a few there is a big difference in their natural skin tones. She has that beautiful darker tone and he has that Irishman had a few frosty mugs look, lol..

Beautiful shots overall. I've heard the same thing about the Gaylord's photography fee; seems like they want to discourage photo sessions there unless the wedding is there, too. On that note, I wonder how much the wedding rental costs.

In No. 2, their hands get lost (and kind of look like they are on fire). But the rest of the images are so great it doesn't matter.

Thanks Todd. I am not 100% sure but I think they are paying something around 6K for the wedding location fee! Thats funny about the fire, maybe I planned that, lol... Looks like they hot for each other.

I really like this series, except that some of the images appear really dark and I think with a little more PS there could be some real pop to the color and textures and the great light you worked with. They just need a wee more "oomph"...my 2 cents :)

Thanks Jordan, I knew when I scoped out the place prior to the shoot that there was a shot to be had by those carts! They were very fun to work with, I cannot wait to do their wedding there at the Gaylord in May.

Thanks Erica! Yea, I need to use my histogram more. I did a wedding last night and kept lowering my flash exposure after looking in the LCD, then when I got home I was kicking myself for trusting that LCD. They came out good, but a little more PS will be needed for them.
