Bride + Groom + Train Museum + Savannah Georgia = FUN SESSION - 10-13-2008, 12:10 PM

Alright the weekend was amazing, Allison and her now HUSBAND Rich treated us amazingly well as did their family and friends and everyone else that was there.

The weather however did not listen to all of us when we wanted to have an outside wedding and outside photo shoots and outside everything else. So plans had to be changed, tents put up, our photo shoots changed and locations which we wanted to capture simply could not be done.

On Sunday the day after their wedding the four of us (Allison, Rich, Cody and myself) went down to Savannah's Rail Road Museum for a little fun and old metal and dirt and brick and grunge and whatever else you want to call it.

So with all the said, us TriCoast boys shot half the day - traveled the other half, drove over an hour home, then I processed a few images (nothing special) just to show Allison BEFORE she was headed down to Mexico for her Honeymoon. Since I showed them to her she has given me permission to show them to you!

So today, since I leave for Alabama (8 hour drive) tomorrow through Thursday, I am working my best to get some of the wedding actually completed now that I am home on my desktop. As soon as Allison sees the images I will post them here. With all that said, here are the first images of Allison and Rich on their wedding day or Day After Session with a TON MORE coming your way soon, remember Grunge was the theme for many of these images and since I TRULY HATE THE TERM " Trash the Dress" to me this was just another session which happened to get the dress dirty.

#1 - Inside an old railroad street car, which we were not supposed to be in but hey it was pouring outside so we made adjustments :)

#2 - At the "getting ready house" outside on the lower level, we were standing in the rain to capture these images. The couple was just under the overhang staying dry (this was before the wedding after the first look) All Natural Light here!

#3 - Our stunning bride Allison. An IR Portrait of her just before her big day inside the "Getting ready house"

#4 - On the back balcony on the 2nd level of 3 of the "getting ready house"

#5 - In front of one of the trains at the Museum. The couple was giving us their best "Chooo choooo" and screaming it in the process :)

#6 - Another one on the back pouch of the house as #2. Again just playing with colors, textures and processing styles at this point.

#7 - Inside the old street car again using wireless flash this time

#8 - Another natural light shot inside the old street car (as #1)

#9 - Another inside the street car all grunged and grained up using wireless flash.

#10 - Allison has not seen this image (she is going to KILL ME showing you all if she finds out).

OK OK OK so you can not see how stunning she is, but the fountain is pretty dang cool ain't it (say it in your best Southern U.S. Texan Draw please)! Here is one of the couple with a stress on the beautiful bride! (oh and I know there is something funky going on with the pole behind Allison's face, I did not do that in Photoshop it seems the pole was like that and I did not notice until getting home. I will touch it up later)

SO MANY AMAZING IMAGES from the wedding day I simply have not even uploaded them all to Lightroom yet, much less processed them. I do have them all organized I just need to get into Lightroom and color correct them all, then I will get some new stuff up that is more traditional and straight forward and which shows how STUNNING Allison was as a bride. We kept reminding Rich how he married WAY UP all weekend long and he kept reminding us he was well aware of that fact :)

Enjoy and thanks for looking! Next batch from the wedding will be the more traditional side of things (bride getting ready, groom getting ready, wedding, reception, details, etc.)

As always Mike and Cody and Suzy, your images are wonderful and inspirational. Thank you so much for sharing in what I know is a really busy time.
I'll be looking at these for months trying to figure out your magic.
All the best!

Thanks guys and Bennie remember NO SECRETS if you want to know something just ask, there is no magic here just straight forward shooting and processing techniques which we are always willing to share if you just let us know some specific questions.

Thanks again for the nice words, this event was just Cody and I which was the first in quite sometime but we had a blast in the process. Sadly the weather was horrible so I would love to go back and take advantage of the outdoor areas of that amazing town!

Thanks everyone for the feedback! It was a fun event, truly enjoyed every aspect of it (well besides the rain) but then if you look at it, the rain allowed us to capture images we would not have gotten otherwise so I guess the rain was pretty cool as well!

Here is one more (different image) but taken right after Image #8 above. The look almost the same however this image is sharper than #8 straight out of the camera so I was able to have more fun with it in Photoshop! While I know not everyone's style remember more traditional ones are coming soon I promise :)

Let me know what you think...
