6th Street Bridals - 12-30-2008, 11:11 AM

I wanted to post some pics for c&c. These aren't real bridals by the way, Holly was generous enough to give me 2 wedding gowns and I found a victim willing to work for tequila.I was testing out some ideas for alterna bridals (not everyone likes to cutesy stuff) and I recently bought some wireless flash triggers so I used them too. This is the first time I have tried the wireless flash in total darkness, I had a 580EX and 24" shoot through umbrella held a 5'1" pregnant woman. If anyone could give my tips on the use of wireless flash I would really appreciate it. And thanks again Holly!

Your welcome. The PP is kinda heavy for my taste. Her skin looks a little too plastic.

The socks are a great flare. I think they need to be longer - like knee highs so they dont cut the line of her leg.

You need fill on these. The last shots are better. I like the 2nd and 3rd to last.

And I see, you did wait to give her the 'payment' until after the shoot. Good call. :O)

You can hold pregnant women holding lightstands and shoot thru umbrellas? You must be quite strong.

Interesting experiment... lighting looks a little strong but, I wasn't sure if you were going for that look.

Last shot looks a little OOF on her face. 2,3 and 4 look pretty good.

I shoot pistols, rifles and fire Canon's for fun.

All hail the red L.

I like these.

The shadows on her face in the last shot don't work for me. And like David mentioned, parts of her face look a little out of focus.
