app priority, iso was about 1000 (can't remember the exact number).

I do remember pointing the flash slightly above my wife's head ... the solution maybe to point the flash directly at the couple ...

was the lighting that bad for your ISO to be that high? was you lens wide open? I learned last night (thanks SFP) that shooting AP, you can set the flash on TTL BL for a good fill flash. You can also adjust exposure on some of these if you shot RAW and adjust the contrast a bit also. If you had to set the ISO so high, try shooting manual at a lower ISO so you can have more control over lighting.....hope this helps

Don't forget you can remote/slave your SB800 from your D70 so it can be positioned anywhere (D70 in Commander mode, SB800 on Remote Group A, Channel 3)...works wonders and adds lots of flexability.

I can't thank all of you enough. I took all of your advice ... and the pictures turned out GREAT (better than the "professional Pics" I had at my wedding (that's not saying much, but if I did better than the guy we had, I would be pleased ... and I am)). I just went through all the NEF (Nikon's equivalent to RAW for those that don't know) and I got a TON of good ones ... and a few bad, but I think the couple I did the work for will be very happy. Shooting in RAW saved my butt big time ... the ligthing condition was changing so rapidly that I had to concentrate on the shot and worry about exposure later ... and it worked out great ... now I need to leran how to use CS and RAW, cuz it takes WAY to long to process each shot. Oh well ..one step at a time. I'll post a fwe pics later this week .... again THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP
