Workshop/Seminar Review Section Rules:

1. Workshop Feedback
Only completed workshops/seminars can be placed within this section for other attendees to review and give feedback. This feature will help members gauge and keep track of what others feel about a given workshop prior to deciding to attend one in the future.

2. Positive & Negative Comments Welcomed
Both positive and negative comments and feedback are welcomed in regards to any and all workshops that you attend. All we ask is that the comments remain on a professional level and done with courtesy. This review feature is built so that not only members can be informed about workshops but the organizers themselves can be made aware of what may need to be improved upon or tweaked to their format/teachings etc.

Simply PM me the comment/feedback as well as the workshop it pertains to and I will post it in the correct thread pertaining to that workshop completely anonymously. Only I will know your identity and I can guarantee that it will NOT be shared with anyone else on the forum.

These workshops can be very beneficial to photographers wanting to try new techniques or to expand their portfolio. Robin and Marc go out of their way to make each of these events unique and fun for both the photographers and the models. The networking that is achieved can be invaluable in getting exposure and making contacts to grow a business if you represent yourself with a professional demeanor.

Either way it is a great way to spend some time shooting with friends.

Agree with Chris's comments. Robin and Marc provide an opportunity for folks to just come out and shoot without having to worry about lining up models, getting releases and finding good locations. For the most part we show up and shoot. The difficulity lies in trying to ensure each photographer shoots each model in each outfit. Generally that doesn't happen. We try to stay on a rotation schedule which many times means you may miss a model in an outfit you really want to shoot. At times I've been known to leave my group and go "steal" a few shots of a model in an outfit I find particularlly appealing. All in all, a very rewarding experience and the friendships I've made have been great. Kudos to Marc and Robin for providing a venue for folks like me.

All of these workshops have been great.

Marc and Robin put a lot of effort into it, and it can be seen by the attendance of both photographers and models at these events. They've been a great way to meet new people, and learn some new things. In some cases it's something as simple as a technique and or something about your camera to dealing with models. Marc and Robin do a great job aligning models, and nowhere else can you get the opportunity to shoot this many models on location in numerous outfits for the price of one of these workshops. The portfolio building opportunity alone is priceless.

Great people from organizers, to photographers, to models. All around an excellent experience is had by all.

I attended the Brenham TTD workshop by Marc and Robin and found it to be excellent for portfolio building. The one thing I was surprised about was that there was no real talking and sharing of information time. It was basically, grab a model and go shoot. But at the time that's really what I needed. I found that these types of workshops work best if there are way more models than you think you'll need. I went to one where the ratio was about 5 or 6 photographers per model and that was hard to get the shots you needed because there was competition for the best angles and the best positions and you didn't have the freedom to command the model the way you want because the other photographers have other ideas and the more pushy and vocal photogs tend to steal the show and the model. The BTTD had plenty of models to go around and I ended up filling about 20GB in memory shooting in RAW.
