Workshop/Seminar Review Section Rules:

1. Workshop Feedback
Only completed workshops/seminars can be placed within this section for other attendees to review and give feedback. This feature will help members gauge and keep track of what others feel about a given workshop prior to deciding to attend one in the future.

2. Positive & Negative Comments Welcomed
Both positive and negative comments and feedback are welcomed in regards to any and all workshops that you attend. All we ask is that the comments remain on a professional level and done with courtesy. This review feature is built so that not only members can be informed about workshops but the organizers themselves can be made aware of what may need to be improved upon or tweaked to their format/teachings etc.

3. Anonymous Feedback Available
If you attended a workshop and have a positive or not so positive comment about it but do not want your identity displayed rest assured it can be posted for you anonymously. Simply PM me the comment/feedback as well as the workshop it pertains to and I will post it in the correct thread pertaining to that workshop completely anonymously. Only I will know your identity and I can guarantee that it will NOT be shared with anyone else on the forum.

Great workshop. Pace was just about right for the audience. Not too fast for the newbs and not too slow for the ones with experience. Lots of good knowledge given out. Tracy isn't afraid to discuss any of his skillsets with anyone. Learned alot more than liquify. I will definitely be signing up for the full PS workshop coming up.

Gotta say much thanks to Tracy for this.

Having only dabbled in the liquify tool with no real knowledge of what I was doing he certainly did a good job of explaining what many of the tools do and how to use them.

Using examples we were able to process and fix up some "common" issues with photographs to make them better.

At the end of the night I certainly feel I walked away with a much better understanding of the liquify tool and it's uses than when I walked in. For the cost it certainly couldn't be beat.

thanks for taking the time Tracy. i use liquify unsuccessfully often with my clients.. so a lightbulb went off when you introduced the freeze mask. that is where i was lacking on successful liquify. thank you so much.
oh.. and for teaching me about the patch tool. stretch marks are nothing now! thank you!

showing how you post process after liquify was very helpful as well.. using the extra layer on top to preserve a clean line. that rocks!

Your workshop was great, entertaining, and I'm now motivated to learn about the tools in the box (CS).
If I'm in town, I'll definately join the full day workshop on April 4th.

thx,

Ben

It's true Tracy is such a down to earth guy and instructor. It was fun learning from from Tracy it shows how much he loves his work! WOW is that guy busy... But put everything on hold to teach all of us that showed up Liqui-LIE. + lots more.

I have been to lots of on site classes for photography and I will tell you Tracy is the best teacher I've had to date.. 5 Star Instructor..

I will learn everything I can while Tracy is willing to teach..

PS: Tracy I have some contractors coming over to your studio to build a room on the side so I can move in Hope You Don't Mind..

See You In April...

I really enjoyed to class. The only negitive things I can say are:
1) Some Giant came and sat in front of me, so I had to move. (Richard can't help his height)
2) It was pretty crowded in there. (Just a sign of good participation)
3) Since Tracy is an expert in PS, and I'm a newbie, I missed a step here and there while trying to do the step I just saw. (I just need to practice more I guess)

Overall though, I wouldn't have missed it for anything.

I really enjoyed the class and thought Tracy did a great job going over the information. I appreciated his willingness to share and look forward to the April PS seminar. I thought the room was a little on the tight side with the number of people present and the proximity of tables. But on the other hand, it facilitated some dialogue as well.

Thanks again for pulling this thing together and your collaborative efforts.

I know. I wouldn't have said anything if I thought you didn't have a sense of humor.

For the cost of a few beers ... this workshop was priceless. Great meeting everyone and Tracy is a great tutor, I learned a lot, including all the little bits and pieces in between LiquiLie (TM Tracy Hicks :) ) and had a lot of laughs along the way.

I was a bit cramped as Tracy kindly hired a meeting room and attempted to accommodate everyone that signed up, I think he suprised himself with the interest and participation.

Outstanding class! The teaching was top notch. For someone who just dabbles in the photoshop (like myself) this was a perfect class to get me started with liqui-LIE.

The price was perfect. a 12 pack of beer - where can you find a class like this for that price? NO WHERE!

It was alittle packed, but he did not think that many people would show up for a little liqui-LIE. He did move it from his studio to a confrence room for everyone to have a seat. I know that was a cost that he did not expect, but he kept with his word and did the class.

Take his photoshop class, you will not be disappointed!

I also would like to express my appreciation to Tracy for putting this together. It was only two simple things that I learned, but unless someone had shown me, I would still not be using either: Liquify, and Patch.
I attended a "Computermaster" sponsored Conference for Photoshop users a couple of years ago thinking it was going to be hands-on like Tracy's shop, but was sorely disappointed. They gave us books with areas for notes. We covered a multitude of techniques, but I only learned a small fraction. Not only that, I actually paid for that crap.
I learned so much more from Tracy, and so much quicker. It was alot more fun too!
One of these days I'll be able to attend a full-day workshop.

Evidence of the 'fun': Gotta love the 'ol S3 ...

(If anyone wants this photo removed, please let me know and I'll do so)
