Arrow Workshop Section Rules - Must Read - 01-28-2008, 08:28 AM

Workshop Promotion Rules:

1. Workshop Forum Sponsors
Only Workshops that have signed up to become Workshop Forum Sponsors are allowed to be promoted here within this dedicated Workshop Section. As an organizer you will have you thread posted here within this section, listed on our main portal page as well as have it included in any Newsletters that are issued during the time of your listing leading up to the actual workshop date itself.

2. Workshop Threads
All threads posted here will not be seen immediately, they will be manually approved to ensure that the person posting the thread is an actual Workshop Forum Sponsor and is well aware of our listing requirements.

3. No Workshop Spam
Workshop organizers are not allowed to promote their workshops in any other place other than the dedicated Workshop Section itself. The reason this dedicated section was created was to keep organizers from spamming our members in various threads throughout the forum. This includes having information in your signature about your upcoming workshop. That in itself will do more harm for your cause than good since then members will view you as a spammer and give little credit to your workshop. Not good.

4. No Workshop Feeler Threads
Workshop feeler threads by members to try to gauge interest in whether or not people will attend are not allowed. Feeler threads are a form of workshop promotion without having to commit to a Workshop Sponsorship.

5. Thread Title Format
All thread titles must follow a very simple thread title format. Having this form of organization will allow members to browse the section with ease finding exactly what workshops/seminars will be in their city and when. All important information about the workshop should be included in the title itself as such: Houston: Light & Posing Workshop - March 1st

6. Workshop Definition
Any seminar, conference, class and/or other get together that is NOT a national tour and requires a registration fee is deemed as a "Workshop" and shall also abide by these rules.

If you are a workshop organizer and are interested in signing up for our Workshop Forum Sponsorship in order to list your Workshop on Pixtus you can contact me using This Form.

Thank you.

Much better, Abel! Thanks for reconsidering!

One question for clarification's sake: On the "No Feeler Threads" .. is it ok for someone who's signed up as a Workshop Sponsor to post a feeler thread in the workshops section? Putting on a workshop requires you to book other people (such as models and MUAs) and its uncool to commit them and then cancel.

Can someone please help regarding Advertising a workshop? - 04-17-2010, 03:52 PM

I just joined the forum a few moments ago and I wanted to see what the rules were regarding promoting workshops and if I am reading correctly, I have to be a workshop forum sponsor in order to promote my workshop.

I have looked and I have been unable to find out where to become such a sponsor or related costs etc and the last entries I can see regarding workshops seem to be from 2008.

Thanks

Can we discuss workshops we are attending if they are not forum sponsors? Where is the appropriate spot to do so? Specifically, ones sponsored by TPPA/PPA/WPPI... Like the major schools/conferences.
